How I tackle the autumn formal dress

As the nights are drawing in, I find myself unable to wear anything other than my thick warm trackies and my fluffy warm coats. There is something so amazing about being a student and being able to turn up to lectures looking like a tramp. On many occasions I do get that ‘do you even go here?’ look because my hair is like a birds nest and my makeup is last nights drunken mess mixed with that eye snot that you get when you weep in your sleep. However once in a while (I mean like a very long while), I do actually make an effort and I get out my autumn formal dress.

It’s quite funny how I can be transformed from Jack Skellington (The nightmare before Christmas character) to, in my mind, a badass Disney princess. I realistically just look like a try-hard but that’s what happens when you actually try hard for once. So I throw on my autumn formal dress and I’m off to the ball! (or the club to get tragically drunk and end the night crying because I burnt my chicken nuggets #RIP).

Chi Chi Ebony dress £65

This gorgeous autumn formal dress was kindly gifted to me from Chi Chi London. I was so excited to work with them because I have previously bought dresses from them. Therefore I know that the quality of the dresses are incredible high. So when I got this beautiful Ebony dress in a size 8 I was over the moon. It fit me perfectly (very true to size) and the style of the dress was elegant and chic.

The only negative thing I would have to say is that on the left chest of the dress, there must have been some design fault as the material wasn’t flat against the structure of the dress and sometimes it billowed out but this might just be a one off problem. Overall the dress was stunning and for the price, this dress is worth every pound. I paired the dress with my pink satin heels and my Versace jeans purse.
