Dungarees are a god send. Where is your phone? In one of the thousands of pockets you now actually have on you instead of those awful fake things. Wanna look like you’re effortlessly chic? Dungarees are you’re new friend. What started off as a very practical piece of clothing has become a trendy fashion piece and gives a bit of edge to your look. I spent ages searching for a good pair but I could never find ones that were the right shape or long enough.
However my friend was so kind to sell me this pair from New Look and although they are a little short, they fit so so well! I would recommend going to a high street shop to get a pair as they are so durable. You don’t need to break the bank is order to look chic but if you are wanting to spend a bit more of a premium price, I totally recommend checking the denim section on Revolve as they have some seriously gorgeous pieces!
When I styled up the outfit I was thinking of wanting to create a statement look that made me look like a London gal. So best place for this shoot? London! Ok, so I need to get a bit soppy here and tell everyone I have the bestest best friend ever. Emma (twin names I know) came down with me to London and took all these photos for me. Not only has she made me look 100x better than real life but she carried round my bags all day, she squatted, she retook, she didn’t stop till we had the best photos. So to you Emma, I love you so much and thank you for being such an amazing photographer! All the credit goes to her for making me look slightly above average.
This statement Dungarees look had to be sassy but classy. I bought this gorgeous statement bag from Zara (they do the best statement bags btw)and I knew it had to go with this outfit. It brings the outfit together and bounces off the denim. The sunglasses are Quay dupes from H&M and I loved their reflective lenses so I used those to create an even more statement look. The boots had to be subtle though they couldn’t let the outfit down so I popped on my black chunky heels which worked perfectly to help elongate my legs!
The actual outfit consisted of me putting a basic white bardot top underneath to really make the denim come out in the outfit. The blue and red worked perfectly together so the rest of the outfit had to be black and white in order not to go overboard. A coat is also ideal especially with the English unpredictable weather so I wore my bright blue puffa jacket just in case it got cold. Overall I love this outfit so much and I’m always wearing it!
